A youthful grassroots politician in Alimosho constituency in Lagos State, Babatunde Adegoke a.k.a. Mata, has rallied the youth constituency in Egbe Idimu to pass a vote of confidence on the senator representing Lagos West in the national assembly, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola a.k.a. Yayi and the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alimosho, Alhaji Abdulahi Enilolobo.
Mata, a youth development enthusiast and managing director of Upright Agricultural Services, while hosting some youths of the party to a dinner on Wednesday, restated that Yayi and Enilolobo are ‘supreme leaders’ that possess the qualities needed to pilot smoothly the affairs of r a democratic and progressive party like the APC in Alimosho.
“It smacks of sheer mischief, wickedness and infantile scheming for any person to question the quality of Senator Yayi and Alhaji Enilolobo’s leadership within Alimosho, and Egbe Idimu in particular,” Adegoke declared while charging politicians to always engage in mature and peaceful resolution of differences rather than resort to violence, destruction and cheap propaganda.
He added: “APC is a big party, so there will be divergence of interest. But it is advisable that we engage in peaceful politics, strategic lobbying and human empowerment than violent disruptions and unwarranted blackmail”.
Mata also firmly expressed his stand that the youths of Egbe Idimu and Alimosho won’t allow troublemakers masquerading as politicians take over the affairs of the party, while he counseled party members to be loyal, peace loving and give due compliments to party leadership.
