A traditional father has constructed a 5 kilometre road to ease the difficulties his people have been passing through while moving from one community to another in Delta State.
The man, his Majesty, Enyi Friday Abaja, of Umukwata Kingdom before the current gesture,gesture, a chain of philanthropy within and outside his domain.
According to available records, this lone Royal philanthropist is known to have awarded over 20 scholarships to indigent students from his immediate community attending attending Delta State University and others.
“He is known to have unilaterally built a Health Center, Street lights, interlock roads in his immediate community of Umukwata. He equally built market in Abbi and a conglomerate of shopping mall between Obiaruku, Obinomba, and Owah-Abbi ,thereby bringing salient developments to these communities. “And as an extensive gesture – he is known to have helped in lowering prices of cement in their locality so that the average person can afford them, disclosed Mr.Sam Enudi,one of the community leaders in the area.
An independent source had earlier disclosed that this traditional ruler of repute even interceded in disputes between warring communities, calling for peace and tranquility. Meanwhile, the ongoing construction of a five kilometer road between Umukwata and Amai communities which is due to be commissioned in a matter of weeks, has once again earned him to place in the heart of his people.
