Nollywood star actress and producer, Jaiye Kuti, has stepped up her preparation towards April 19 premiere of her new film project titled ‘Blacksmith’ (Alagbede) with a 150-people dance carnival.
The dance carnival, which took place at Yaba, Lagos, saw most of the cast in the upcoming movie present.
Speaking about the project, Jaiye Kuti, who has produced many award-winning movies like, ‘Ewon Laafin’, ‘Itan Kokoro Ide’, ‘Scarred’, ‘Jayeola Ni Monje,’ amongst others, stated that the movie, which will be in cinemas in Nigeria and across the globe, will rank among her best productions so far if not the best.
“Alagbede is not just an ordinary project; it is a big project, and when you have a big project of this magnitude, you don’t need to keep quiet about it. We organized this dance carnival to make people aware and be ready for the premiere. I am not the only producer of this project. I am the first producer, and the second producer is Leye Fabusoro, a fantastic producer. I also have Motunrayo Adeoye, a co-producer; she is also the CEO of Soap Connect Strong and Beautiful; she is based in the UK. She is not here today but she will be here on the premiere day.”
Blacksmith is a high comedy movie with the likes of Baba Wande, Londoner, Jide Kosoko, Elesho, Ibikunle Taiwo, Faithia Balogun, and myself. There are also in the film, Femi Adebayo. Gabriel Afolayan, Kehinde Bankole, Adebowale and my own son. You also have Macaroni, Bimbo Oshin, Jigan, Ayoka, Ebun Oloyede, and more.
