“In an era where the maintenance of public safety, suppression of violent crime and protection of lives and property demand resolute, intelligence led policing, CP Ojajuni’s experience and leadership render him exceptionally well suited to steer the Ogun State Police Command towards greater efficiency and public confidence”
“CP Ojajuni’s distinguished career has been characterized by exemplary service, marked by strategic foresight, meticulous attention to duty and an unwavering commitment to the rule of law qualities that have consistently distinguished him as one of the Nigeria Police Force’s most accomplished senior officers.
Prior to this appointment, CP Ojajuni served with distinction as Principal Staff Officer to a former Inspector-General of Police, where his managerial dexterity and operational sagacity proved indispensable in coordinating high level policy implementation and command structures. Most recently, he held the pivotal portfolio of Commissioner of Police in charge of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau at the Alagbon Office in Lagos, overseeing critical transnational investigations, extradition matters and international police cooperation with commendable efficacy.
His election to the INTERPOL Africa Committee further attests to his growing stature on the continental stage, securing Nigeria’s fifth seat through rigorous diplomatic and professional endeavour,” the statement reads.
Aduwo stated that the Forum is particularly heartened that “a son of Ikaleland, an illustrious Yoruba scion, has once again risen to such a strategic command position. In an era where the maintenance of public safety, suppression of violent crime and protection of lives and property demand resolute, intelligence led policing, CP Ojajuni’s experience and leadership render him exceptionally well suited to steer the Ogun State Police Command towards greater efficiency and public confidence.
We urge all stakeholders traditional rulers, community leaders, civil society, politicians and the good people of Ogun State to accord him full cooperation and support as he discharges his mandate. The Forum stands ready to partner with the Commissioner in fostering community-oriented policing that reflects the finest traditions of Yoruba values: justice, order and communal harmony.
This appointment is richly deserved. May CP Olubode Ojajuni continue to uphold the honour of the Nigeria Police Force and the dignity of the Yoruba nation with the same diligence and distinction that have defined his illustrious service thus far,” the statement concludes.
