The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter has demand for justice over the gruesome murder of a sound engineer at Lekki by a group of Okada riders.
Speaking through the Lagos governor of the music association, Dr. Kareem Olomide Osoba popularly called Kabiesi, said the barbaric act is condemnable and Justice must be serve to the family. ‘This is a young man hustling for his daily means of livelihood but killed at a prime age through mob attack. As musicians we want government to step into the matter fully and take necessary action against the perpetrators which will serve as a deterrent to others’.
He added that any attempt to sweep the case under the carpet may lead to mass action and protest by musicians across the state.
‘We’ve had enough of this menace and the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu needs to leave up to responsibilities of protecting the lives and properties of the citizens of the state’.
He opined that, the musicians across the state will not want the government to take this killing with levity.
