Music Gives 20 Percent of My Income, I Have Companies in 18 Countries -Otedola’s daughter’s hubby, Mr Eazi

Award-winning Afrobeat sensation, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has shed light on his multifaceted journey from engineering to global music fame and entrepreneurship, stressing that his true identity extends far beyond music.
The singer, who grew up in a comfortable home as the son of a pilot-turned-aviation consultant, revealed that his path was never limited to one field. After his early education in Nigeria, he moved to Ghana where he studied Mechanical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
At just 23, he returned to Nigeria and landed a position as a mechanical engineer with Schlumberger, one of the world’s leading oilfield service companies.
However, Mr Eazi’s entrepreneurial spirit had long been active. “I experimented with many ventures, club promotion, e-commerce, and other businesses long before recognition,” he recalled.
While his music career catapulted him to international fame, Mr Eazi explained that artistry makes up only a fraction of his wealth. “Music contributes just 20 percent of my income. My businesses are where my real passion lies,” he said.
Now at 34, the star runs companies across 18 African countries, spanning diverse industries. He emphasized that his vision, alongside his wife Temi Otedola, is to build enterprises that drive sustainable impact on the continent.
“Together, we’re focused on creating businesses and changing lives. That’s why I always insist, I’m more than music. I’m a businessman first,” Mr Eazi declared.
