Moments of Reflection as Kazeem Tewogbade Launches Book, ‘Unlikely’ in Lagos

‘Unlikely, a deeply inspiring and transformational book has been officially launched. The book was written by Mr. Kazeem Tewogbade, a man known for his love for education; builder of people, and whose life reflects purpose, impact, and legacy.
Mr. Kazeem Tewogbade is a visionary, a seasoned technology expert, and a leader whose influence stretches across Africa’s tech ecosystem. He is the Group CEO and Co-Founder of Bluechip Technologies, one of Africa’s leading data analytics and enterprise solutions companies.
With over 25 years of professional experience, he has contributed immensely to technological growth, capacity building, and talent development.
Kazeem holds a First Class degree in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan, and beyond his corporate achievements, he has invested in people, startups, and education proving that success is not just about wealth, but about lifting others.
“Unlikely’ is more than a story,” according to the author, “it is a journey of resilience, humble beginnings, vision, and the power of staying committed when the odds are stacked against you.”
Tewogbade explained that he was inspired to write the book because he felt it was important to document his journey in life “to show that however unlikely success may seem, with hard-work, resilience and faith, and in hopefulness for a better tomorrow, success is achievable.”
Tewogbade stated that the book was berthed for young people seeking direction, entrepreneurs in need of motivation, professionals aiming for excellence, and any man that believes in the possibility of greatness despite challenges.
“This book, Unlikely, is about me as much as it is about my mother, Alhaja Adunni, my jewel of inestimable value, who will toil and stoically make sacrifices to ensure she is on ground to raise me well and make sure I don’t lack basic things, but I must go out there and succeed. I always thought that I hadn’t done enough or achieved many significant milestones to herald telling the world my story. But I will say the thinking was totally undone by my realisation that stories are meant to be told, that documentation of one’s story is more about uniqueness of accomplishments one has recorded, and not necessarily about the volume of accomplishments.”Reviewing the book, Olumide Soyombo, the author’s partner and co-founder at Bluechip Technologies, evaluated not only the content but also the author, Tewogbade’s skill and the book, ‘Unlikely’s value to its target audience.“Unlikely’ is not just a book, it is a mirror for anyone who has ever felt behind. It is a compass for anyone who has ever felt uncertain. It is a reminder that excellence can come from anywhere, and anyone. It is a testimony that the God who gives some people head starts also gives others the stamina to run from behind and finish convincingly. Kazeem writes as a man who has lived, reflected, and understood. Through this book, you will hear him loud, with wisdom, with humility, and with truth. ‘Unlikely’ is a book worth reading, a life worth studying, and the author a man worth celebrating. My friend, my partner, and one of the most quietly brilliant minds I know.”In writing the book, Soyombo noted, Kazeem steps back from biography into reflection. “He explores ideas like reliability, using the Milner–Mo Salah analogy, and the difference between programmers and problem solvers. These, he posited, aren’t just clever titles, they are windows into how he thinks, reminding us that building is not just about systems or strategy, it is about people, discipline, and reliability over flair. The book launch held on Thursday, 13th November 2025 at Harbor Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, paraded a list of participants which includes media professionals, fellow authors, publishing professionals and influential personalities who added context and credibility to the event,Some of the VIP attendees and panelists include Mr Kayode Soyombo; Dr.Biodun Shobanjo, founder of Troika group; Chief.Kayode Aderinnokun, renowned entrepreneur in banking, maunfacturing and media; Mr.Sola Akinfenwa, pioneer MD of Skye Bank; Mr. Kola Ayanwale, founder of Centerspread Advertising; Mr. Kunle Owuye, renowned financial expert, andEngr.
