The director general of the national council for arts and culture, Olusegun Runsewe, has been sent to prison by a high court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Delivering the verdict, the court, presided over by Justice Jude Okeke, ordered Inspector General of Police (IGP) Idris Adamu to immediately arest Runsewe and detain him in correctional services over contempt of order of the court on his part.
This came after a motion was made by Ummakalif Limited in a suit filed against the minister of the FCT, the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and Runwese.
Justice Okeke said that he will remain in prison until he shows penitence, having retraced his wrong steps.
