A staunch member of people’s democratic party PDP in Jigawa State Comrade Faisal Kabiru has said that 2023 governorship election in the state is not about father or son but the overall development of the state and it’s people. He stated this in Dutse the state capital during the weekend when reacting to the ambition of Mustapha Sule Lamodo, Santuraki.
According to him Mustapha Sule Lamido have all it takes to contest for the incoming governorship election in Jigawa State and can be voted for and not base on primordial sentiment. He said that Santuraki possess the right credentials and capacity to deliver and brings meaningful development to the state under PDP.
He frowned at those who criticise the ambition of Santuraki on the basis that his father was one time governor, saying it’s meaningless to justify Mustapha’s ambition on the father and not the constitution or legal angle. He said there is no law that said Santuraki cannot contest because his father was a former governor, “Pres. George Bush succeeded his father so it’s not a big deal.”
Kabiru cautions party members not to fall for the propaganda of self serving individual and some agents of the ruling APC in party to in order to cause disaffection among the party members.
“Its about capacity and and deliverance and not the issue of father. Santuraki is competent, ready and well prepared to serve his people and I am ready to support him throughout the electioneering campaign” he said.
He appeals to all party faithful to unite more than ever before and work for the party in the interest of the state and it’s people.
